Why Indian Feather Headdress is Important Today
This Indian feather headdress has different styles and colors. It varies form one tribe to another. There are some tribes that wore large and colorful headdresses and there are some that wore smaller ones with the original colors of the feathers. Indian chiefs have usually worn an Indian feather headdress that has vibrant colors. For the tribe that wore colorful headdresses, vibrant colors for them have significant symbolic meaning. They symbolize bravery and dedication of individuals to the tribes during the wars for several years.
This is the reason why Indian feather headdresses are significant to American Indian tribes as well as to others who are collecting them.

Indian Headdresses Are Beautiful Head Accessories
Many people today are fascinated with chief Indian headdresses. These headdresses were popularly created by Native American Indians back in the days to give honor to their chiefs and warriors who have bravely fought and survived during the Indian battles. An Indian chief headdress symbolizes bravery, that’s why they were exclusively given to chieftains and warriors of the tribes.
The old chief Indian headdresses are made of real majestic eagle feathers, bound by real leathers and deigned with colorful beads. A Warbonnet is one of the distinctive and most attractive chief headdresses. It was made of large colorful feathers, intricately designed with flashy adornments and beads. It is also popularly worn by Indian chiefs in the Northern American Region. There are a dozen Indian tribes have worn these warbonnets which includes Cheyenne, Backfeet, Sioux, and Crow tribes.
Chief Indian headdresses were just worn occasionally by Indian chiefs and warriors. This Indian headdress is also worn by an Indian chief during festivals and during the battles to indicate their authority and bravery. Today, chief Indian headdresses are created by professional artists worldwide to show off their craftsmanship and to pay tribute to the Native American Indian tribes. This headdress is now popularly worn during special events like Halloween, themed birthday parties, Mardi Gras and other themed events.

What Made Indian Headdresses Popular
The Indian headdress is an iconic piece of American history. Most people associate it with all Native Americans, but it is actually worn by certain tribes. Nevertheless, the beautiful feather headdress is now becoming one of the most popular pieces in pop culture.
Nowadays the eagle is protected by the law. Therefore most Indian headdresses would be made up of duck or rooster feathers. Authentic duck and rooster feathers are also quite exquisite, especially if a master craftsman is the one who is creating the piece.
Indian Headdress Replicas Available
Traditionally, the Indian headdress is made of authentic leather and eagle’s feathers (if eagles were around). Folklore suggests that the wearer assumes the protection of the animals from whom the headdress is made up of. Since eagles are revered and believed to be the messenger of the gods, a warrior has to earn every single feather that is to be put in his headdress.
Authentic leather that can be embellished with beads and other tribal designs can also adorn the Indian headdress. Today, Indian headdress replicas being sold in the market are made of duck feathers and leather also embellished with colorful beads.

Meet Fangirl of the Day: Caitlin
Read original article here: Meet Fangirl of the Day: Caitlin
Name of Fangirl: Caitlin
Fangirl’s Occupation: Chemical engineer
What is her Fangirl interest?
For this submission, Star Wars, specifically Ahsoka Tano. Ahsoka is the character that really pulled her into the Star Wars universe (which I have been a lifelong fan of and imposing on her for years). Ahsoka’s development into an incredibly strong female leader and all around badass was an inspiration. We both feel that Ahsoka is the best new character, and probably the best overall event/story arc to be added to Star Wars in a long time. My wife was ecstatic to see Ahsoka’s return in Rebels finale and immediately told me we were making Star Wars costumes for Denver’s Comic Con.
Outside of Star Wars she’s a PC gamer (World of Warcraft, Diablo, Borderlands, Guild Wars), a fan of the Marvel cinematic universe (especially Guardians), and an avid reader of sci-fi and fantasy literature.
Why did you decide to shine the spotlight on this Fangirl?
She’s my wife and I love her quite a lot. Also, because she put a bunch of work into this cosplay and I think it is one of the first quality Star Wars Rebels Ahsoka cosplays out there. Plus, like I said, she made it all herself, and this is her first cosplay and attempt at many of the techniques she used to make the costume (except for the pants). Just as a bragging point, the montrals are cast from latex, so they move pretty organically and look almost like living tissue in person. Also also because she’s my life and I love her a lot.
Also, on a more personal note she lets me be as a huge of a nerd as I want to be about my own hobbies and our shared ones. I cannot thank her enough for allowing me to be myself and encouraging me to do so.
How does this Fangirl express her fandom?
Most recently with Cosplay and conventions, but that is a new venture for her. Previously she’s built gaming computers, attended movie premiers for countless fantasy, sci-fu, and comic movies, and done some hardcore raiding in WoW.
She also made a Han Solo running outfit to do a gender bender cosplay for the inaugural Star Wars 10k and 1/2 marathon this past January.
Also, our wedding was at a castle, the tables were themed by various nerdoms, we cut our wedding cake with a knife that had a lightsaber hilt, and we both quoted Pokemon in our wedding vows (unplanned). Oh, and her wedding dress had a lace cloak with a hood. Coolest wedding dress ever.
What is her favorite quote or personal motto?
“Screw that noise!” (ClapTrap from Borderlands)
What is her favorite Fangirl item that she cannot live without?
As of the creation of this costume, probably her Ahsoka montrals. After her Ahsoka Clone Wars lightsaber from Saberforge arrives (as her anniversary present, I’d like to take this moment to reiterate how much I love my wife and the fact that a lightsaber is an acceptable, nay exemplary, anniversary present) that might take the cake. Prior to this cosplay, it was probably her How to Train Your Dragon shirt with Toothless +/- her gaming PC.

#FBF: You Know You Grew Up in the Aughts If You Remember These Bags

We love a good flashback, even more so if it makes us cringe a little and ask (sometimes out loud), "Did we really wear that?" Which is exactly how we feel looking back at the bags from the early 2000s in all their monogrammed, brightly coloured, buckle-embellished glory. Luckily, though, we're not alone; many ladies who lived through the aughts remember needing that heart-decorated Dooney & Bourke or lusting after a Dior Saddle bag. They were pretty much the Mansur Gavriels of their time.
But perhaps even better than the designs are the then-It girls who wore them: Lindsay Lohan, Mischa Barton, and even Paris Hilton were the ones who really sold them for us. Take a read through the gallery and see all the styles we had to have, some of which are actually pretty cute, but most of which are still so 2006.
9 Street Style Ways to Rock a Jumpsuit

Are jumpsuits the next big thing? Recently, we've seen bloggers take to the streets wearing the one-piece style and now some of the world's biggest celebrities are jumping - pardon the pun - on board, including Gwyneth Paltrow, Emma Stone and Kendall Jenner.
Although jumpsuits are everywhere, it doesn't necessarily mean they are easy to pull off! Previously reserved for newborn babies and prisoners, jumpsuits are taking on a whole new meaning. Choosing a one-piece in either a sexy shape, pretty print or powerful hue and styling it in the right way could be the difference between looking renovation-ready or ultra-stylish.
Scroll through to see nine ways to work a jumpsuit in the right way.
RED Valentino Resort 2016 Collection
While we always recognize RED Valentino pieces for the big dose of cuteness they come embedded with, during the past few seasons creative directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli were mostly experimenting with different styles with their fall 2015 lineup being so grunge. With their beautiful RED Valentino resort 2016 collection they go back to the roots of the fashion house, unveiling a plethora of romantic, innocent and girly dresses, blouses, shorts and skirts inspired from Swinging London. Actually, the mod movement was taking over London in 1959 when Valentino Garavani opened his luxury brand in Rome, so no wonder, the movement has always had a great influence on the Valentino designs making mod the signature style of the fashion house. From the A-line mini silhouettes so characteristic of Valentino to lace, frills and scalloped hems, as well as subtle notes of boyish fashion, the collection features many a pretty detail and design for us to get instantly hooked on these lovely pieces!
The pinch-me pretty 50-piece RED Valentino resort 2016 collection can be subdivided into a few small lines, each standing out with a unique color palette, mood and style. Thus, the collection kicks off with a much monochrome palette composed of blacks, whites and creams used for a number of little dresses with scalloped hems and tiny ties for a boyish feel, frilly lace dresses and skirts with matching tops with Peter Pan collars and the same removable ties this time put in lace, little blazers, see-through delicate lace tops, tailored shorts with a mannish touch and rompers with front pockets. The pieces look demure and positively fabulous trying to cater to the style needs of those girly fashionisers, who want to look maximum chic without trying too hard. In this section of pieces, we also see occasional leather designs, like the laser-cut black leather mini skirt combined with a lace shirt creating an interesting contrast. While most of the dresses in this range provide enough coverage while being cut at the mini length, there are also those delicate lace-y pieces with the peek-a-boo effect that still look so innocent.
Black and white gingham patterns make their way into the collection soon appearing on the Sixties inspired skirt suit worn with a white lace shirt and the structured coat topping the white frilly lace dress. Then the mood drastically changes here and we are treated to loads of oh-so-sweet prints and patterns, ranging from the Swinging Sixties inspired rainbow Pop Art motifs put in different shades to strawberry and cherry prints, but also eye and music note patterns that are beyond perfection. When we deal with strawberry patterns, we mostly see dusty pink shades matched with black, while the music notes come in a lovely multicolor palette appearing on a white background. We also see just a couple of pastel colors, of which the mint green dress with cherry prints is the first thing we want to own!
While the color palette and patterns change throughout the collection, the silhouettes are kept in the same style and we mostly see youthful mini dress, short short-suits and pretty separates featuring mini skirts and lace tops, but also stylish outerwear and tailored cropped trousers. By the end of the collection the neckties are replaced with bow ties, which still create an interesting juxtaposition of feminine and masculine styles. Wholly, this is one of the prettiest and most functional resort lines unveiled for the upcoming year.

How to Reduce Gas and Bloating
There are many reasons why having gas or being bloated can be a big inconvenience. Gas of course can interfere with many professional and social atmospheres, and also put us in potentially very embarrassing situations. Bloating can additionally make us feel heavy, weighed down, and can make our clothes feel very tight and snug, sometimes even painfully so. Being bloated can of course even alter your mood, making you feel sluggish and inactive, as well as unattractive.
However, while we may look upon both bloating and gas as minor inconveniences, and usually treat them as jokes, for many people who experience both consistently, it is of course part of a larger health problem and both are common symptoms of indigestion itself. In that sense, they need to be looked at more critically and the root causes should be properly examined in order to avoid both from occurring, as well as to fix the underlying issue itself.
As mentioned above, having the occasional gas or bloating can be short term ‘inconveniences’ for many people, and both are usually over within a day or so. There are some remedies when they do occur sporadically mentioned below. However, when experiencing both in the long term, it is important to understand what could be causing the symptoms, and to how to prevent them from occurring by understanding and examining the root cause(s).
See also: Juices VS Smoothies: Which Drink Is ‘Healthier?’
Protein: Vegetarian & Vegan Sources
What are some of the main causes of both gas and bloating?
Carbonated beverages: This one is probably the most obvious cause of gas or bloating and is of course a much more immediate effect of consumption rather than a consistent and underlying indigestion issue. However it can still cause both bloating and gas, so it should be considered and ruled out before going forward. Carbonated drinks, whether it is coke, sprite, fanta, etc., can cause immediate bloating that can last hours. Try to avoid carbonated beverages as most contain far too much sugar and caffeine anyways, and instead opt to flavour your water with natural ingredients like berries, or lemon and mint and skip the gas and bloating!
Too much sodium: While sodium belongs to a group of minerals classified as electrolytes, diets that are too high in table salt can have very serious consequences, such as high blood pressure. Gas or bloating can often be another side effect of diets too high in sodium, and it is best to use high quality salts (such as sea salts) whenever possible, and to limit the intake in general. Instead, try using less salt and a wider variety of spices instead to flavour your meals and keep them interesting. Also it is important to keep our sodium levels in check by consuming enough potassium, which regulates sodium in our bodies, so limiting salt and increasing potassium is also very helpful.
Drinking too much water or liquids with meals: While the consumption of water is vital to our well being and overall health, there are actually times when it can have a less than desirable effect on us. Drinking water while we eat is one of the times it can lead to indigestion, or more specifically, gas and bloating. When we eat meals, our stomachs secrete hydrochloric acid to digest and break down the foods. When we drink too much water or any liquids while we eat, it can dilute this stomach acid, interfering with its ‘job’ and causing indigestion. For that reason, it is best to consume water or liquids before and after eating, rather than during. A few sips with a meal can be fine, of course, but avoiding a large intake is ideal in order to avoid any potential digestive difficulties.
Eating too quickly or not chewing thoroughly enough: People tend to eat food far too quickly, and one unfortunate consequence of that is indigestion as the food particles leave the mouth too large. The undigested food can usually even be seen in the stool itself! Digestion begins in the mouth, and for that reason it is important to actually take your time when eating, and to chew your food thoroughly to make sure it is in a state to go on to the next phase of digestion, as well as be ready for the nutrients to be properly absorbed. When eating food, avoid watching TV or being on your computer (whether for work or for social), as you can be more tempted to eat without paying attention to how you are doing it or how fast you are going, and it is difficult to break old habits when distracted. Instead, try to focus solely on the food, and eat it thoughtfully. A good way to test this strategy is by eating sesame seeds. They are so small that for many people who eat too quickly or do not chew food thoroughly enough, they can actually be swallowed whole! It is a shame as they are very nutritious and contain a high amount of calcium, but you can use them as a test. Simply sprinkle some on your meal, and next time you use the bathroom, you can see if they are present in their entirety in your stool. If so, hopefully it will serve as a good reminder to chew slowly and thoroughly!
Improper food combining: For many people, gas and bloating can be symptoms of improper food combining. Proteins take much longer to digest compared to carbohydrates. So, for example, when eating a steak, feeling very full, and then eating a peach as something sweet right after, the peach is ‘waiting for its turn’ in terms of digestion, and can actually begin fermenting, causing both gas and bloating, as well as heartburn or acid reflux. This is the general idea and reasoning behind eating salads before a main course. When you eat the salad first or as an appetizer, you are eating the food that is easier to digest and that moves much quicker, as well as contains enzymes (assuming the salad is one packed with raw vegetables and fruits) that aid in the digestion, before the heavier, and usually protein-heavy, meal. Or if you would like to eat something easier to digest, such as a fruit, after a large meal, aim to space it out so the digestion process of the meal is already on its way and it will not interfere.
Low stomach acid levels: Another reason why gas, bloating, and general indigestion could occur, could be related to low hydrochloric acid levels. Every time we eat something, our body releases this stomach acid in order to break down the food and continue in its digestion. Too much alcohol, overeating consistently, as well as a diet very high in protein are just some of the possible causes of low stomach acid levels. When this is the case, every time a person eats food, the low stomach acid levels secreted are not enough to properly break down the food, and can of course cause indigestion.
Eating too late at night: Eating late at night can be the cause of feeling tired in the mornings, having interrupted sleep, headaches, as well as gas and bloating. When you eat large meals late into the night, it is much more difficult for you body to properly digest it, and you are essentially keeping your liver on ‘overtime’ and the food may not be digested optimally, causing feelings of gas and waking up bloated first thing when you wake up.
Uncooked beans: This is a more specific cause, but still one that is a common reason when people experience gas or bloating. Many people cook beans without actually allowing them to be fully cooked, and this can often give beans (or legumes) a reputation of causing gas notably, as well as being hard to digest. However, it can be the cooking itself that is the problem, rather than the beans. This is why it is best to rinse and then soak your beans over night, which softens them significantly and also reduces the cooking time, and then cook them on medium heat with a lid on until they are soft enough to break apart in your mouth without much effort. Lentils do not require such a long soaking process, but it is still important to make sure they are thoroughly cooked as well. If you are also not accustomed to eating beans, it is best to introduce them well-cooked and slowly into your diet, in order to allow your body time to adjust to the food!
Constipation: Constipation can affect people in many different ways. For some it’s a once in a while problem, and for others it can be a chronic issue that must be resolved by examining the root causes. Either way, constipation causes both gas and bloating, and only once it is resolved will both begin to disappear. While there are many potential causes for constipation, making sure you are getting enough fibre in your diet is key in terms of a preventative approach.
For times gas and bloating do unfortunately occur, there are as well some other ways to deal with the problem immediately, while still aiming to incorporate the long term preventative solutions mentioned above.
Steeped ginger tea: On top of its various health benefits, ginger is often known as one of the best ways to reduce nausea or motion sickness. Ginger root is also very effective in eliminating or relieving various forms of gastro-intestinal issues. Ginger is often used as a way to actually eliminate intestinal gas as well as inflammation. While you can incorporate it into many meals, a steeped ginger tea is quick way to alleviate some of the symptoms related to indigestion. Simply remove the peel of a piece of ginger root with a spoon, slice the root into thin pieces or grate it, add it to a pot with hot water with the lid on over low or medium heat, and steep it for 10 to 15 minutes and drink as warm as possible. During the summer you can also make this in a larger pot with more ginger and water, and once it cools down, keep it in glass bottles in the fridge to have on hand.
Diluted apple cider vinegar: Apple cider vinegar is a type of vinegar that is made from apples and tends to have a slightly pale or somewhat amber color to it. The unpasteurized version also includes a type of foggy strand-like substance at the bottom (usually can be seen through a bottle) that are strands of the mother bacteria used to make it in the first place. Apple cider vinegar is most often used as an ingredient in salad dressings, but is also known and used to reduce bloating as well as gas. Apple cider vinegar, like lemon juice, also mimics hydrochloric acid, so can help in the digestion of different foods as well. It is important to make sure to always dilute apple cider vinegar when using it directly, as it is strong and can irritate the esophagus and damage tooth enamel. Simply dilute a teaspoon in about one or two cups of water and sip on it throughout the day to reduce bloating and gas. While apple cider vinegar does have a strong taste that may not seem pleasant for many, diluting makes it much lighter, and you can simply add more water to keep the taste neutral and pleasant. You can also drink a smaller amount before meals to promote digestion, which of course can then reduce any potential bloating or gas that would have been caused by indigestion.
Now that we have looked at just some of the reasons that gas and bloating can occur, by taking the preventative measures mentioned above and limiting carbonated beverages and liquids during meals, sodium intake, avoiding eating too quickly as well as too late, aiming to incorporate proper food combining within all of our meals, cooking beans properly and incorporating high amounts of fibre in our diets, we can aim to eliminate these unpleasant side-effects of improper digestion, and incorporate some natural remedies when they do occur, and keep both side-effects limited!

Kendall and Kylie Jenner Design New Topshop Line
Sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner are half-siblings to the Kardashian sisters and they are very much alike. All of them are American fashion models and all very much love the spotlight. The Jenners have been making their own waves in the fashion and entertainment industry instead of simply basking in the Kardashian successes. They may be young, at 19 and 17 years of age respectively, but they understand the public rather well it seems and love to flaunt their bodies and their beauty for the world to admire. They will be as well-known as Kim perhaps one day, but for now, they can use Keeping up with the Kardashians as a springboard to success. Kylie’s even getting into the music industry as it was newly announced that she is working on her first single with Kanye West, her older sister’s beau.
It appears as if the Jenner sisters are up to making the Internet break with their own intrigues as well, one of which has been to partner up with Topshop to launch their very first clothing line with the design retailer within the week. They have a new high street fashion mash-up that they announced would be available this year from February of 2015, while they have begun dropping hints through Instagram about what it all will look like. We are not sure what to think really yet but it all looks very pretty and totally fancy. Crop tops, shirts and sweater, dresses in red and in grey; also, is that a line of denim we see there? Skinny jeans perhaps? A gently floating black maxi appears on the list, while an interesting jumpsuit pops up in the midst as well.
We have also been given a glimpse of a lace-up bustier top, which can be worn with some awesome heels, along with a daring cross over that has us feeling as sexy as we look. There are 3 days left until the big reveal of the Kendall and Kylie Jenner for Topshop collection and we are pretty excited about it all. There is just something about having celebrity teen sisters drawing images of what appears to be them but is more similar to Scarlet Johansson and Kat Dennings in different fashion designs that has our shopping need growing, while believing in the talents of humanity, no matter what family the girls are born into.
A teaser video has also been created by the girls and Topshop to keep us on our toes and have us running to the nearest mall to pick up the pieces that are apparently perfect for the beach. At least, that is how the teaser makes us feel, what with the palm trees and rolling waves against the sands. The video offers us nothing other than vacation dreams actually, so we wonder what exactly it is teasing us with this. We do know one thing for sure though, we are bound to fall in love with that awesome red dress we noticed in one of those Instagram pics!

89 Reasons Mary-Kate and Ashley Deserve a Fashion Award

We spent our childhoods doing our best to channel Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen's colourful on-screen style, and the duo has come a long way since they were Winning London and Switching Goals. Calvin Harris Isn't the Only One Who's Into Taylor Swift's Dreamy Date-Night Look
Taylor Swift is certainly no stranger to crop tops - especially those that come with matching skirts. Her relationship with Calvin Harris, however, is a bit more fresh. So, given the star's track record and obvious tendency to dress for who she's dating, we weren't surprised to see that she bared her belly when the two stepped out for dinner, channelling a sweet yet sexy girl next door.
Taylor chose a floral Aqua set that rings in at just $116 and, in a sky-blue colour-way, looks totally dreamy. She completed her outfit with neutral accessories, including some seriously high peep-toe pumps and a dusty-rose Prada satchel.
In short, Calvin isn't the only one who's into Taylor's latest ensemble. In fact, all we want to do is channel the girl who probably feels just as romantic as she looks. Read on to see her outfit from every angle, and then find a few different ways to construct your own date-night set. Red lipstick not required but highly encouraged.

Naughty or Nice: Emma Stone and Rachel McAdams Wore 2 Very Different Looks

It's hard to play favourites when you're deciding between women as stylish as Rachel McAdams and Emma Stone. But when the actresses took the red carpet for the Aloha premiere in West Hollywood, CA, we couldn't help but think that their looks paired them against each other in a naughty-versus-nice fashion face-off.
Emma put her spin on Summer style in a head-to-toe white ensemble that could only be described as angelic. Her shimmering flapper-inspired dress was covered in textured embellishment, and her sleek white blazer added an element of sophistication. Meanwhile, Rachel went for a daringly naughty look that she pulled off like a fashion pro. Her green mesh top and electric blue draped skirt may have seemed like an odd combination, but on Rachel the contrasting colours and sexy cutouts felt totally natural. So was it nice or naughty that won the night? You decide. Read on to see both looks up close, and then vote for the style that catches your eye.
Fendi Resort 2016 Collection
Preserving its iconic modern allure, the latest Fendi resort 2016 collection manages to combine some of the coolest trends we have seen during the recent fashion shows of the Italian luxury fashion house. Among such amazing trends we should mention the lush floral patterns, the new interpretations of denim and, of course, leather, which stands out with its strict geometric designs. Still, it’s the iconic bird of paradise that continues to be the main motif used throughout the collection, giving a touch of exotic and tropical air to the fabulous looks. We saw this motif during the Fendi fall 2015 fashion show, when colorful bird of paradise details were used as interesting embellishments for the Fendi bags, and now they turn into romantic patterns adorning some of those ladylike dresses coming in both long and short lengths.
It’s definitely the architectural look of the flower that caught the attention of Karl Lagerfeld, who is a big fan of geometry when it comes to Fendi designs. The flower has interesting sharp points and edges, which still look so delicate when imprinted on a flowing strappy maxi dress coming in a white color, or on the tea-length full-skirted yellow dress with white collars used to give a schoolgirl modesty to the overall look. It’s also the main motif used for the color-blocked sharp leather coat, giving an abstract look to its already futuristic design. A couple of skirts, jackets and coats use the same motifs put in different color shades, and each time looking absolutely pretty.
We still do see Lagerfeld’s favorite geometric patterns in the collection, particularly stripes in different shades or color-blocked patchwork worked out so meticulously to look like one whole piece of material painted in different shades. It’s here that we discover the mind-blowing textural plays, when leather is used as patchwork for a denim piece, or silk is worked out the way to look like authentic denim or shearling. You can never say what fabric has been used for that Fendi piece until you touch it and that’s what makes the brand always stand out with its futuristic concepts in designs and fabric technologies.
Creativity doesn’t stop here, as we also discover absolutely insane lightbulb motifs in shearling decorating a black sweater and a black leather backpack that we are sure to spot a lot in the streets during the upcoming fashion shows. A khaki sweatshirt features the word “Fendi” again in shearling, while we also see looks that solely focus on the structure and interesting color palette comprising lots of khakis, ochres, yellows, caramels, blacks and some touches of pastel hues. Those perfectly tailored high-waist shorts are the best pieces to wear to work, to street or to cocktail parties, while we also love the polished culottes adding a retro touch to the overall modern scene.
Equally amazing is the accessory line of the Fendi resort 2016 collection, and while we miss the famous Karlito here that has become the fashion crowd’s favorite charm, we still see cute fur monsters available in different shades and mostly in big sizes in order not to go by unnoticed. Add bird of paradise inspired heeled sandals and statement-making handbags to the looks and you have one stunning collection of trend-setting goodies you’d like to wear day in and day out!

Are You Offended by Khloé Kardashian's Niqab Selfie?

While the Kardashian family typically makes headlines for stripping down, this time one of them is under fire for covering up. During her trip to Dubai, Khloé Kardashian took to Instagram to share a picture of herself wearing a niqab, a traditionally Muslim cloth that covers the wearer's face, captioning the photo "Habibi Love" (which, loosely translated, means my baby or my darling love). Many followers and users were not pleased with the snap, sounding off in the comments section and disapproving of her fashion choice.
"So the family down the street from me gets verbally attacked by the school district for sending their children to school wearing this and you get praises for your eyes," one comment said. "This is a sad, sad country we live in." The positive comments, which were few and far between, either complimented the star's looks or commended her for respecting the culture. "She's in Dubai and that's the appropriate thing to wear," a user reminded everyone.
This isn't the first time a member of this family has visited Dubai and opted to wear traditional clothing. Kendall Jenner rang in 2015 there and posed alongside Gigi Hadid in a sheer, sparkly hijab - a photo that was met with little criticism. So what's different this time around? Is one more offensive than the other? Read on to see the photos, then let us know your thoughts in the included poll.
Cher Is The New Face of Marc Jacobs
Singer Cherilyn Sarkisian, better known as Cher has been selected as the new face of Marc Jacobs for the brand’s fall 2015 campaign! It seems like a big competition among fashion houses and brands to choose the most iconic celebrity as their brand ambassador, as we have seen Julia Roberts starring in Givenchy’s spring 2015 ad campaign, Madonna promoting Versace’s spring 2015 designs and Riccardo Tisci himself starring in Givenchy’s fall 2015 campaign along with Versace’s creative designer Donatella Versace! Now, the 69-year-old singer and actress, who was spotted at 2015 Met Gala in a sequined Marc Jacobs dress accompanied by Marc Jacobs, is the queen in Jacobs’s edgy fall campaign shot by David Sims, posing in a long black gown inspired by Diana Vreeland’s apartment.
We start to wonder whether a modeling career is something actual at the moment or not? Choosing a Hollywood actress or singer to promote a fashion collection, a beauty product or perfume has become something very common in the fashion industry lately, and it’s quite natural, as after all it’s not models that excite us posing for the camera lens of a renowned photographer, but a celebrity, since the former is doing her job, which is quite natural, while the latter is inspiring its devoted fans showing her more playful side. In the modern world of the rapid development of everything around us, surprising someone and attracting attention with “innovation” has become a very difficult task, if not something impossible, and it’s here that we notice the tendency of turning to the old but classic gold. Celebrities are always in the spotlight, no matter they are attending a red carpet event, being caught by paparazzi in their everyday life or teaming up with a fashion brand to promote their products, so when stylist Katie Grand posted the photo of Cher from the Marc Jacobs fall 2015 campaign on her Instagram account, we were pleasantly surprised.
We aren’t sure Cher is the only “model” in the Marc Jacobs fall 2015 campaign or we’ll also see Miley Cyrus in the photos to be leaked, but the fact that Cher needs nothing and nobody else to break the Internet unveiling a single photo from the campaign is more than obvious. More photos from the campaign are soon to be revealed and we can’t wait to see which celeb will be the next brand ambassador for a renowned fashion house that still needs your attention!
